Pixie Pain is an independent art and apparel shop ran in the greater Philadelphia area by Alexina Hobbs, exploring chronic nostalgia, tender-heartedness, and storytelling through original designs, fashion, and digital culture.

Alexina Hobbs, known as Alex or Pixie, is the creator behind PixiePain.com, a brand she launched in 2022 after nurturing the Pixie Pain persona since 2017. Born in Philadelphia and adopted by her aunt, Alex earned her BFA in Brooklyn, where she studied Communications Design with an illustration focus at Pratt Institute.

Alex’s creative journey began in her turbulent childhood and became a lifeline during her freshman year of high school when she created Pixie Pain as a way to process emotions. it has since  evolved into a thriving business. The launch of PixiePain.com was a turning point after her first year of college, providing purpose while navigating chronic illness and isolation.

With themes that blend whimsy, nostalgia, and personal growth, Alex’s work also explores the use of symbolism and digital immortality, inspired by her fascination with cemeteries and advocacy for causes like Bianca Devins’ legacy. Pixie Pain embodies her journey, turning emotion into art and creativity into connection.
